Have you ever?

Have you ever written, typed or read a sentence and then began to stare at a particular word in that sentence. As you stare, you unconsciously start mouthing the word. At first, you begin to wonder if the spelling is right. How could it not be right? An everyday word, but for some unknown reason, it appears a bit unfamiliar. The more you stare, stranger it looks. I don’t know if anyone can relate, but it happens to me a lot.

The other day, I was reading a blog post and I came across the word exercise. I’ve probably seen this word a hundred times but the spelling looked rather odd. EXERCISE? E-X-E-R-C-I-S-E. E—-X—-E—-R—-C—-I—-S—-E? The more I looked at it the weirder it looked. I’m just saying, english languange can be strange.

Does this happen to you too? Comment down below!

      1. It’s so hot here in Ireland! 😥 Ive been taking any excuse I can to sit in front of the freezer 🙈😂. I think the idea behind the repetitive loss of words is that like anything if you are physically exhausted and are throwing a ball over and over your arm will get tired, this is your brain getting tired and needing time to charge up but we keep saying the word so loose sense of it 💗
